Batuuan Ronto Wrap Recipe From Disney

I love Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Hollywood Studios. The atmosphere is fantastic and the rides are incredible. And there is some truly intriguing food. My favorite meal is a Ronto Wrap from Ronto Roasters. If you can't make it to Disney World to try a wrap, here's a recipe from Disney that you can make at home. 

Batuuan Ronto Wrap
Serves 8

Roasted Pork Shoulder
2 pounds pork butt
2 Tbsp canola oil
2 Tbsp coarse salt
1/2 tsp black pepper

Preheat oven to 300°F. Pat pork butt dry with paper towel. Rub with canola oil and season with salt and pepper. Place pork butt on the rack of roasting pan and cook for 3 hours, until pork is 160°F. Cool for at least 15 minutes, then slice into 1/8-inch thick slices. 

Ronto Slaw
2 Tbsp sugar 
2 1/2 Tbsp sambal
2 Tbsp canola oil 
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar 
1 Tbsp dried parsley
1 tsp coarse salt, plus more, to taste
1 tsp black pepper
1 cup matchstick carrots
3 cups shredded cabbage 

Combine sugar, sambal, canola oil, vinegar, parsley, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Add carrots and cabbage and toss until combined. Refrigerate until ready to serve. 

Peppercorn Sauce
1 cup mayonnaise 
1 Tbsp lime juice
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar 
1 tsp ground sumac
1/4 tsp ground coriander 
1/8 tsp Szechuan peppercorns 
1/2 Tbsp coarse salt

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Refrigerate until ready to serve. 

Grilled Pita Bread 
1 Tbsp canola oil 
8 pita Flatbread

Preheat grill or sauté pan over medium heat. Brush pan with oil. Toast bread for 1 minute on each side, until golden brown. Keep warm until ready to serve.

Grilled Sausages
8 4 oz smoked sausages

Preheat grill pan over medium heat for 5 minutes. Grill sausages for 5-7 minutes, turning once, until 160°F. Add reserved pork slices to pan and cook until golden brown on both sides. Keep warm until ready to serve. 

To assemble the Ronto Wrap
Place 2 pieces of pork shoulder on each slice of pita bread. Place one grilled sausage on top. Top each wrap with 1/2 cup of Ronto Slaw and drizzle with Peppercorn Sauce.
