Marvel Celebrates 10 Years of the MCU with Class Photo and Sweepstakes

Can you believe it's been 10 years since Marvel began what has become known as the Marvel Cinematic Universe? It all started with Iron Man, and now, 10 years later, everything will come together in Avengers: Infinity War. It has been quite the journey, with an amazing array of talent, both in front of and behind the cameras.

To celebrate this anniversary, Marvel gathered 79 actors and filmmakers, and of course Stan Lee, for a class photo representing the faces we've come to know and love. It's quite the group, and apparently, they were just as in awe of the opportunity as the fans.

As an added bonus, Marvel is celebrating with an awesome sweepstakes for fans. It includes a trip to the Avengers: Infinity War premiere, a tour if Marvel Studios, and a chance to visit the set of Captain Marvel. ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas Sweepstakes

To celebrate Christmas and their Show Your Disney Side campaign, Disney and ABC Family are giving away an amazing trip to Disney World.  The Grand Prize winner will receive a five day/ for night vacation for 4, including a one night stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite. In addition, they will also receive a $1,000 Disney gift card and the services of a VIP Tour Guide for 8 hours each day of their tickets. That's quite the prize, so I will definitely be entering. Rapunzel Contest

As I mentioned in a previous post, Rapunzel will soon be officially made the 10th Disney Princess. There will be a big celebration at Kensington Palace in London to mark the event. The Disney Store is giving away a trip for 4 to that celebration. To enter, simply click on the image. The Grand Prize is a Trip for 4 to London, UK as the special invited guests at "Rapunzel's Royal Celebration" on October 2, 2011. The winner will be the VIP guest of the Oxford Street Disney Store and participate in the opening ceremony. Disney and Verizon just launched the "Discover What You Treasure" Sweepstakes. The Grand Prize is a 5-day, 4-night trip for 4 to Disney World. And to top it off, the winning family will spend one night in the Cinderella Castle Suite. I would love to stay in the Cinderella Suite! It looks like so much fun! The winner will also receive a Verizon Wireless phone with the Mobile Magic app. I haven't tried the Mobile Magic app yet, but I understand it can help you to make the most of your visit to the parks by letting you know about wait times, remind you of FastPass return times, show you the entertainment schedule, and more. I used to carry the Pal Mickey, which I loved, but he could get kind of heavy to lug around. The Mobile Magic app would be much easier, because I already carry my phone.

Cars 2

Cars 2 races into theaters June 24, 2011. Disney has really been promoting this sequel to what was a fantastic movie, Cars. I love Cars, partly because the characters are fantastic and partly because I swear Radiator Springs is Kingman, AZ, where I lived for nearly 20 years. The courthouse in Radiator Springs has the exact same scraggly trees as the courthouse in Kingman, so it always reminds me of home. To celebrate the release of Cars 2, Disney has a website devoted to all things Cars. They have activities and games, downloads, character profiles, videos, and sweepstakes. The sweepstakes is a lot of fun. Finn McMissle of British Intelligence has identified you as a potential recruit and offers several missions to test your reflexes and determine if you have what it takes to join the team. The missions are fun and easy and earn you extra entries into the grand prize sweepstakes. Check out the website for lots of Cars 2 fun, perfect for fans of any age.

Bath & Body Works myPocketBac Contest

Have you seen the myPocketBac contest from Bath & Body Works? You can design your own PocketBac label and then vote for your favorite designs. Mousescrappers 2nd Anniversary

Mousescrappers is celebrating their second anniversary this month. They are hosting several scrapbook challenges during the month of May including Speed Scraps, Cake Decorating, Hide & Seek and a Scavenger Hunt. I only recently joined Mousescrappers and am still learning how to digital scrapbook. I've been creating traditional paper scrapbooks for about 15 years, but don't have much experience with the new digital programs. I have been having a blast with the new challenges, learning about both the Mousescrappers site and digital creation. The layout above was my Cake Decorating Challenge creation. So whether you're a traditional scrapbooker or digital scrapbooker, check them out. You might just learn something new!

Royal Wedding

It seems that even Disney couldn't avoid the lure of a real-life Royal Wedding. As a result, they have created everything you need for the perfect Royal Wedding Tea Party at home. There are paper dolls, printable crowns, recipes for cupcakes that are absolutely adorable, and instructions for creating your own fascinator and coat of arms. They also have Disney Princess Royal Wedding Crafts and a Happily Ever After contest to win your own Royal Wedding Celebration at Disney World. The crafts and recipes are all princess themed and quite cute. While I'm sure Kate Middleton's wedding will be quite a grand affair, these printables and recipes would be perfect for a simple princess tea party at home.

Disney Parks Memories Sweepstakes

If your family is like mine, you probably have lots of great memories of times spent in Disney Parks. Disney is celebrating these memories with a sweepstakes in the month of February. There will be four weekly drawings for family vacations in one of the Disney Parks. Weeks one and two offer 4-days, and 3-nights at Disneyland in California. Week three is 5-days, 4-nights at Disney World in Florida. The final drawing, in week four is for 7-days, 6-nights at ANY Disney Resort, worldwide. Each trip includes airfare, ground transfer, hotel accommodations, and park tickets. Winning any of these trips would be an awesome chance to create new family memories with Disney. Visit the site daily to enter the sweepstakes and to download that day's free daily digital download. The downloads so far have been super cute picture frames to display treasured Disney memories. You can also share your own memories on the site through photos, videos, and stories. Disney will share these memories along with others on the site.

Also, the parks will be celebrating guests' memories created within the parks. Most nights at either Cinderella Castle in Florida or It's a Small World in California, photos and videos taken by PhotoPass photographers will be projected onto the building as part of a new celebration called "The Magic, The Memories & You!" They will feature images captured in the Magic Kingdom or Disneyland that day celebrating all the fun and excitement guests have enjoyed. The photos fly by fairly quickly, so you might want to capture the show on video, just in case they've used a photo of your family. This new program sounds like it will be a lot of fun and should get people sharing their memories and creating new ones featuring Disney.
