Samwise Gamgee Returns To The Shire

A new Lord of the Rings LEGO set is making it's debut next week. To celebrate, Sean Astin returned to Middle-earth to tell us all about this new set: The Shire.

Like all the Lord of the Rings set,  The Shire is incredibly detailed (and incredibly expensive at $269.99), and includes 9 minifigures.

Avengers: Doomsday Has Begun

The saga of the Avengers is far from over. The next big storyline in the Multiverse Saga of the MCU brings together characters from several different Marvel tales: the Avengers of course, the X-Men, the Fantastic 4, Thunderbolts, and more. The first 27 members of the cast have been announced, including a returning face in a new role: Robert Downey, Jr as Doctor Doom.

Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters on May 1, 2026. 

The Final Season of Andor Looks Intense

A new trailer has arrived for season 2 of the Star Wars series Andor and it looks intense. Cassian Andor has now joined the Rebellion and they are up against incredible odds. 

Here's the official synopsis from Lucasfilm:

While Season 1 followed Cassian’s reluctant journey from cynical nobody to revolutionary volunteer, the long-awaited conclusion in Andor Season 2 will see the characters and their relationships intensify as the horizon of war draws near and Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound. 

Rife with political intrigue, danger, tension, and high stakes, the thrill is a prequel to "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story", which portrayed a heroic band of rebels who steal the plans to the Empire’s weapon of mass destruction — the Death Star — setting the stage for the events of the original 1977 film, "Star Wars: A New Hope". The final trailer for A Minecraft Movie is here and it looks so funny. Steve and Garrett are in for one over-the-top, insanely ridiculous adventure.

Kakamora Easter Eggs

For the past 14 years, the Grand Floridian has been home to an incredible display of hand crafted Easter eggs each spring. The styles range from the the ridiculous to the truly beautiful, but all are meticulously crafted by Cast Members out of chocolate and sugar. Some eggs return from year to year, while new eggs are added as well. This Kakamora display from 2024 was one of my favorites. It's so playful and silly. This year's display will be available for viewing from March 18 to April 20.

Elio Is Headed For An Out Of This World Adventure

Pixar's next movie, Elio, is about a young boy who has one great desire... to be abducted by aliens. And it looks like Elio is going to get everything he's wished for, and then some!

This summer, moviegoers will meet Elio, an 11-year-old whose biggest wish is to get abducted by aliens, as well as his Aunt Olga, and Glordon, Elio’s unexpected first friend who happens to be an alien. Freakier Friday Looks Hilarious

The first trailer for Freakier Friday has arrived and it looks absolutely hilarious. This sequel to the 2003 remake brings back Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan as a mother and daughter who swapped bodies. This time around, it's a bit more complicated. 

Here's the official synopsis from Disney: 

“Freakier Friday,” a sequel to the beloved 2003 film with a multigenerational twist starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, will be released in theaters nationwide in 2025. In the film, Curtis and Lohan reprise their roles as Tess and Anna Coleman. The story picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice.

Returning cast members from the original film include Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao. They are joined by Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan.

It was one of my favorite movies to watch as a  child, although that Banshee was quite frightening.

Hondo Ohnaka

I really enjoy the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios. It's so fun to fly the Millennium Falcon on a dangerous mission to liberate coaxium from the First Order. The smuggling operations are run by a rather familiar face from the Star Wars animated series, Hondo Ohnaka.

Hondo first appeared, causing more than a bit of trouble for Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano, in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. After a few episodes, the Weequay pirate really starts to grow on you, so when he popped up again in Star Wars Rebels, it was unexpectedly delightful. After many disreputable adventures, he opened Ohnaka Transport Solutions in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, "borrowing" the Millennium Falcon for a smuggling run or two.

This Lilo & Stitch Trailer Is So Cute & Fluffy!

The first full trailer for Disney's Lilo & Stitch has arrived and it looks so much like the beloved animated movie, with a twist. This trailer gives our first glimpse of Jumba, Pleakley, and Cobra Bubbles. And they even included the poor guy who's always losing his ice cream!
