Can You Feel The Love Tonight in This Lion King TV Spot?
Disney |
It looks quite stunning. Here's the official synopsis from Disney:
Disney’s “The Lion King,” directed by Jon Favreau, journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his. Staying true to the classic story, Favreau utilizes pioneering filmmaking techniques to bring the iconic characters to the big screen in a whole new way. Also featuring James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon, Disney’s “The Lion King” opens in U.S. theatres on July 19, 2019.

The Edison Review
I recently had the chance to try lunch at The Edison and I must say, I was fairly impressed. The food is good and the atmosphere is excellent.
A giant clock in the lobby. |
Gears and machinery surround the main staircase. |
The leather wrapped bar is quite stylish. |
The dining room has a stage for a live band. |
DB 'Clothesline Candied Bacon' |
The dining room is very 1920s, which I loved. |
The Edison Burger |
Organic Tomato Soup and Gooey Grilled Cheese |
Unibroue Beer-battered Fish and Chips |
The second bar is very classy as well. |

Disney |
Here's the official synopsis from Disney:
Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In“Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough. From the Academy Award®-winning team—directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, producer Peter Del Vecho and songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez—and featuring the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, “Frozen 2” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2019.

Toy Story Treats At Hollywood Studios
Toy Story 4 is just around the corner, so fun new Toy Story inspired treats have been popping up at Hollywood Studios. This Forky eclair has an edible topper that declares "I'm homemade." It's filled with an orange cream over a chocolate ganache. It may be my new favorite Disney dessert because it's very orangey but not overwhelmingly sweet. The Forky eclair can be found at Backlot Express.
The angry Hamm cookie is hilarious! It's two giant sugar cookies around a chocolate ganache with sour cherry filling in the center. The whole cookie sandwich is dipped in pale pink coating with a modeling chocolate nose. It's sweeter than I'd like, but still very good. And it's huge! Definitely one to share. The angry Hamm cookie can be found at The Trolley Car Cafe.
This last Pixar inspired treat can be found at Woody's Lunch Box in Toy Storyland. It's a blueberry and lemon Lunch Box Tart with a Luxo ball decoration. The tart is very fruity and not super sweet. I really enjoyed it. Which Toy Story treat will you try?
