Hocus Pocus Fun From ShopDisney

Hocus Pocus
All images: Disney

A few bewitching Hocus Pocus collectibles have magically appeared at shopDisney. They are delightfully adorable and are sure to please Hocus Pocus fans.

Hocus Pocus Ornament

First up is a charming ornament featuring Mary, Winifred, and Sarah Sanderson, and a tiny Binx the cat. When you press a button on the base, the green flames in the cauldron light up and spooky sounds can be heard. The 4-inch ornament is $26.99.

Hocus PocusMystery Pins

These mystery pins are fabulously spooky and feature ten different designs including the Sanderson sisters and Billy Butcherson, as well as the transformation spell the witches used on young Thackery Binx. The pins are $17.99 a box, but, as these are a blind box, you won't know which two you get until you open the box.

Hocus Pocus Spinning Pin

This spinning pin features Sarah, Winifred, and Mary Sanderson in front of a background that spins and says Amuck, Amuck, Amuck. The pin is $17.99 and is a limited release.

Sanderson Sisters Dolls

The Sanderson sisters are unexpectedly adorable as plush dolls. The trio of 7-inch dolls come complete with their own cauldron, and they look ready to cast a spell or perhaps brew up a bit of Life Potion. The dolls are available as a set for $39.99.

Binx plush

It looks like this plush Binx has borrowed Dani's hat for Halloween. The 15-inch toy also has a collar with his name emblazoned on a coffin shaped tag. This enchanting feline is $22.99.

Hocus Pocus Mug

And finally, this color-changing ceramic cauldron mug and spoon are perfect for a witches brew. The 18-oz mug changes from solid black on the outside to green drips running down the sides when hot liquid is added. The cup has the Hocus Pocus logo on one side and says "Trouble is brewing" on the other. The mug and spoon are $24.99.

Halloween Collectibles From World of Disney

Halloween Wreath

World of Disney in Disney Springs had the most amazing Halloween clothing, decor, and collectibles this year. Here are a few of my favorites. This adorable wreath is made of felt Mickey and Minnie pumpkins and has a dangling spider to make it z little spooky.

Halloween Merchandise

There were Mickey jack-o-lantern pillows and candy bowls. A candy covered apron had a pocket that read "If you've got it, Haunt It". Vampire Mickey carried a stack of pumpkins on a plaid bordered kitchen towel and candles sported sweet little ghosts in Mickey ears.

Halloween ears

Plaid also appeared on these charming pumpkin Mickey ears as well as the Loungefly mini backpack covered in Disney Halloween emblems.

Halloween Jibbitz

This year's Crocs were also plaid and went perfectly with these Halloween treat Jibbitz.

Halloween Pins

Finally, the pins were just too fantastic:
  • Grogu collecting candy
  • A castle made of pumpkins
  • Witchy Rocket Raccoon riding Groot like a broomstick
  • A very sparkly Minnie and Mickey in their Halloween finery
  • Goofy, Donald, Mickey, and Minnie ghosts
  • Chip and Dale in pumpkins
  • Grumpy Donald with a stack of jack-o-lanterns
  • Mickey with a stack of jack-o-lanterns
  • Kitty Cat Minnie and Figaro
  • Scarecrow Goofy
  • And pumpkin Mickey and Minnie with plaid ears
Everything was so fun and perfect for Halloween that it was hard to decide which ones to take home. What would you pick for Halloween?

All Aboard Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway!

All images: Disney

"Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway", the latest ride at Hollywood Studios and the first in any park to feature Mickey Mouse and Friends, opens today. To celebrate, Disney has created a dazzling array of clothing and collectibles.

First up, a pair of translucent Mickey ears. The headband features Mickey in one ear, Minnie in the other, and engineer Goofy in the train on a spring in the middle. On the side of the headband are lyrics from the ride's theme song: "Nothing Can Stop Us Now!"

Toys from the ride include a train whistle with a train on top driven by Mickey,

a pull back toy that looks like the locomotive and the ride vehicle,

and a set of five stuffed Wishables toys. The soft figures include Chuuby, the locomotive, Mickey & Minnie in a car, engineer Goofy (the one available outside of a blind bag), and Daisy Duck.

Additional items inspired by the locomotive include this hilarious mug featuring engineer Goofy
and this ear hat ornament with Mickey and Minnie.

Several tees, including an Annual Passholder exclusive, feature artwork inspired by the ride and its marquee.

Other Annual Passholder exclusives also feature artwork inspired by the marquee, including this pin and a black Magic Band.

A light blue Magic Band with Mickey, Minnie, & Goofy is also available.

Finally, if you want to commemorate the opening day of this wacky ride, there's a limited edition pin with Mickey & Minnie in the locomotive. All of these collectibles will be available throughout Hollywood Studios. Select items will also be available on shopDisney.com.

New Pins Coming to Disney Parks in 2017

All images: Disney
Are you a pin trader? Trading and collecting pins at Disney can be a lot of fun. It can be one part treasure hunt and one part race when your family tries to hunt down that last pin to complete a collection. Disney recently shared a sneak peek at some of the new pins that will be coming to Disney Parks this year. It looks like there will be quite a few fun sets.

The Jungle Cruise 45th Anniversary collection will be released in Florida on May 11, 2017. The "Essence of Evil" and "Doorways to Disney" collections will be a shared collection between Disneyland and Disney World. The "Piece of Disney History" collection will only be available at Disney World, while the "Pin Trading Tales" and "Charming Characters" collections will only be available at Disneyland.

A new Pirates of the Caribbean collection will arrive in Parks in mid-March. The pins, which celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Disneyland ride, will all be limited edition, with a special pin only available to Annual Passholders.

The Emoji pins will come to the Parks in late summer. The characters, which appear in the "As Told by Emoji" videos as well as the Emoji Blitz game, include Anna, Elsa, the White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat, Minnie, and Stitch.

Which pins will you be searching for? I will be looking for the Pirates of the Caribbean pins. It's still my favorite ride!

Figment's Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt

Disney
The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is full of art, food, and fun for the whole family. The festival, which takes place each weekend through February 20th, has a lot to see and do, including a scavenger hunt hosted by Figment. Figment's Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt invites kids to search around the World Showcase for some of the world's greatest masterpieces.

To play along, just purchase a map and stickers for $6.99. As you reach each Pavilion, search for artwork with Figment hidden somewhere inside. Once you spot the playful dragon, put the matching sticker on the map at the right Pavilion. When you've finished, turn in the map at a retail location for a surprise. (The surprise is an adorable Figment framed art pin.)

The hunt, which is aimed at young kids, runs every weekend of the festival.

Magic Kingdom's 45th Anniversary

Disney
Yesterday marked the Magic Kingdom's 45th anniversary. To celebrate, Disney presented a stage show featuring 45 characters and a live performance of "When You Wish Upon a Star."

A special limited time celebration cupcake featuring the anniversary logo and Mickey ears could be found at several locations. And a crazy hotdog, called the 45th Anniversary Celebration Dog, covered in potatoes, cheddar cheese, bacon, onion straws, and chipotle-ranch drizzle was available at Casey's Corner

Merchandise celebrating this milestone can be found throughout the parks during the coming year. There are several different shirts for the whole family, and even lounge pants covered in attraction logos.

Souvenirs include a pennant with candy in the handle, pens, antenna toppers, keychain, a light-up ornament, and even a 1000 piece puzzle.

Mugs, tumblers, and shot glasses featuring the 45th anniversary logo, as well as a copper coin in an acrylic display, a silver plated coin in a box, and a photo frame featuring many attraction logos will also be available.

Dooney and Burke collectors will love the new handbags. The pattern pairs Mickey with other attraction icons such as Madame Leota, a Tiki Room bird, and Dumbo.

And pin lovers can find several new designs to collect and trade, including a commemorative pin for Passholder.

A new mystery pin set of eight different pins, two randomly selected pins per box, will also feature ride logos.

And the new Passholder perks are incredible. Starting today, guests who purchase a new annual pass will receive 13 months for the price of 12. Passholder will also receive 20% off the price of food and non-alcoholic drinks at 45 park and resort hotel restaurants for the next year. This includes restaurants like Jiko and the Jungle Skipper Canteen as well as quick service locations like D-luxe Burger. Passholders will recieve 10% off at additional select table-service reastaurants. On top of the dining discounts, the merchandise discount is also being raised to 20% off at Disney owned-and-operated locations. That can save you quite a bit, making a trip to Disney World a little more affordable.

So here's to 45 years of magic at Walt Disney World. I can't wait to see what other celebration magic is in store.

Food and Wine Festival Merchandise Revealed

Disney
It's nearly time for the return of EPCOT's annual Food and Wine Festival. This year, the festival runs from September 14 through November 14. The Disney Parks Blog has provided a glimpse of some of the new merchandise that will be available during the festival.

Featuring new graphics created by the Disney Design Group, this year's merchandise looks amazing. I especially like the Figment chef designs and the sushi pins.

A lot of new items have been created for the festival. Additional items will include clothing, hats, accessories, dishes, and more. And Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak will be returning this year as well, along with its collectible pins.

Haunted Mansion Pins

All images: Disney
Disney is releasing four new Haunted Mansion Halloween pins on September 29. I love these new pins. They are so fun! Each pin represents a classic Disney character as one of the ghosts. First up are Chip and Dale as the Duelers from the Ballroom.

Next up is Minnie Mouse as the Bride. Personally, I find the Bride totally creepy, especially since they've updated her, so it's fairly humorous for sweet little Minnie to be the Bride.

The final two pins go together. One is Mickey as the Caretaker/Gravedigger affectionately known as Dick O'Dell, and the second is Pluto as his dog, Bony.

Each of these delightful pins is Limited Edition 1000 and retails for $12.95.

Halloween Pins

All images: Disney
Well, it looks like Disney World is gearing up for another fantastic Halloween season. Apparently, decorations are already beginning to appear around the Magic Kingdom in preparation for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, starting September 13, 2011. Several pins have just been released for Halloween 2011. Here are a few of my favorites. The Flaming Pumpkin, above, looks like Mickey has become the Headless Horseman's head.

Minnie, with Figaro, makes an adorable witch.

Mickey carves a pumpkin to look like Pluto in this Disney Vacation Club exclusive.

The Headless Horseman throws a flaming Mickey pumpkin on this spooky pin.

This final pin is a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party exclusive, with Vampire Mickey and some adorable pumpkins.

Memorial Day

In honor of those who serve, please take a moment today to thank the members of our military, both past and present for the sacrifices they make to keep us safe. Many members of my family have served and continue to serve today. I am grateful for all that they do to protect our freedoms. As Walt Disney once said, "Tomorrow will be better for as long as America keeps alive the ideals of freedom and a better life." Thank you to our military for keeping those ideals alive.

Star Wars Pins

There are several new Star Wars pins that have been created just for this years Star Wars Weekends at Disney World. Several of the individual pins feature key scenes from the Empire Strikes Back including a dimensional AT-AT being circled by a Snowspeeder. A massive jumbo pin in the shape of the number 30 is filled with characters from the movie. A boxed set of six characters and there vehicles has been created. There's also a set of Muppet Star Wars pins, a R2-MK (like a red R2-D2 but with Mickey ears), and a special limited edition pin. My favorite is the passholder limited edition pin which features Han Solo in carbonite. Finally, there's a limited release pin featuring the logo for the Star Wars Weekends.

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day today. I love having a special opportunity to celebrate my Mother and all of the wonderful experiences that she has shared with me. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers and near-mothers out there!
