I can't wait to ride Disney World's latest roller coaster: TRON Lightcycle / Run. It looks so cool!

TRON Treats Are Coming To The Magic Kingdom

It's nearly time for TRON Lightcycle / Run to open in the Magic Kingdom. And a new food kiosk will be arriving, too. Energy Bytes will serve quick snacks throughout the day. The Watermelon Refresher is a frozen drink made of watermelon, yuzu, and ginger.

Chocolate Cake Doughnut Holes topped with mocha sauce and a Joffrey’s Cold Brew Coffee topped with mocha sauce is a perfect coffee-lovers breakfast.

Or maybe you'd prefer a savory snack. The Digital Dumplings – Buffalo Chicken combines chicken dumplings, blue cheese powder, and cayenne pepper broth. While the Digital Dumplings – Beef & Broccoli transforms the iconic dish with beef dumplings, broccoli pesto, and ginger-soy broth.

And finally, for the sweet tooth, try the Strawberry IceOform. It combines the sweetness of strawberry ice cream mochi with crushed graham crackers, topped with a little bit of cheesecake foam.

TRON Lightcycle / Run opens on April 4th. Energy Bytes should open around the same time.

The Countdown Is On For TRON Lightcycle / Run

The Upload Conduit is powered on and the Lightcycles are ready. Are you prepared to enter The Grid? In just under two months, Disney World's latest roller coaster, TRON Lightcycle / Run, will open for guests. It is expected to be the fastest coaster at any Disney Park.

There are a few things you should know before you board your Lightcycle as a member of Team Blue.

• This ride can only be accessed via a virtual queue. There is no standby queue. Guests with a ticket and park reservation can request to join the virtual queue via the My Disney Experience app.
• Guests can purchase an individual Lightning Lane entry via the My Disney Experience app. Pricing and availability will vary.
• Bags and loose items, including user headwear, must be stored in the lockers in the queue. The lockers are complimentary and can be locked and unlocked with a MagicBand or ticket card. Guests who don't have a MagicBand or ticket card will be assigned a card for the lockers. Small items, such as glasses, cellphones, and wallets can be stored in a small compartment on the ride vehicle.

• Disney PhotoPass photos and video will be captured on the ride. To collect a preview of the photo and video, either wear a MagicBand or bring your cellphone with the My Disney Experience app enabled onto the Lightcycle and stow it in the onboard compartment.

I love the TRON movies, both the original and TRON: Legacy, so I was very excited when a TRON inspired roller coaster arrived in Shanghai Disney Resort. And now, TRON Lightcycle Power Run is coming to the Magic Kingdom at Disney World as well. I can't wait!

TRON Lightcycle Power Run Is Coming to Disney World

Disney World is in for a lot of changes in the next four years. From new lands like Pandora at Animal Kingdom, and Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios, to a ton of new rides at all four parks to suit a variety of tastes, there should be something new to please everyone. One of the most exciting rides is coming to the Magic Kingdom.

The TRON Lightcycle Power Run is a coaster-style ride featuring two-wheeled Lightcycles from the popular films. Currently only in Shanghai, the ride is touted as one of the most thrilling at any Disney park.

The ride will sit next to Space Mountain in a currently empty area and should be open in time for Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary in 2021.

This Tron Light Cycle Is Awesome!

I love the Tron movies. I remember watching the original Tron when I was a kid and thinking it was just about the coolest thing ever. When Tron: Legacy came to theaters, I insisted my sister and Bean watch it with me, even though they weren't really interested. In the end, they loved it, too. Bean wanted one of the Light Cycles desperately. Well, now you can purchase a Light Cycle of your own, that is if you can afford it. Available from Hammacher Schlemmer for a whopping $55,000, the bike captures all of the features of the computer version. Here's the description from Hammacher Schlemmer.

This is the illuminated, street-legal motorcycle inspired by the computer animated cycle from the 2010 film Tron: Legacy. Designed for casual cruising and slow ride-bys at shows, it is made from a steel frame covered by a fiberglass cowling that replicates the sleek look of its computer-generated imagery counterpart. Electroluminescent strips built into the tire cowlings, wheel rims, and body illuminate the cycle. It is powered by a fuel-injected Suzuki 996cc, 4-stroke engine. Riders lay at a near-horizontal position astride the padded leather seat, with feet on foot pegs that control its 6-speed constant mesh manual transmission and hands on the handlebars for throttle and braking. The hubless wheels are former truck tires built up then custom-shaped to fit onto one of two counter-rotating rims spinning within each other, providing the broad-tired authenticity of the computer cycles from the movie.

Although this bike is definitely out of most budgets, it does have an amazing look. This would be the ultimate gift for a Tron lover, if only you could afford it.
