LEGO's latest Star Warsanimated special will focus on Din Djarin and Grogu. With stories and characters from all three seasons of The Mandalorian, the special will be action-packed and full of laughs. LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian will debut on August 15th at the D23 Expo before heading to DisneyPlus on September 2nd.
The Avatarmovies are incredible. They are amazing stories about the Sully family and their trials and tribulations as they simply try to live on Pandora. LEGO made quite a few sets featuring the Sullys when Avatar: The Way Of Water was released. This set shows Jake Sully learning to ride a skimwing as Tonowari, the leader of the Metkayina Clan, looks on. All three Avatar movies, including the recently released Avatar: Fire and Ash, are available now on DisneyPlus.
Illumination'sMinions & Monsterslooks absolutely hilarious. In this clip, we see the Minions living in ancient Greece, working for a Cyclops. And then, they create the first LEGO. As expected with the Minions, it does not go well.
Here's the official synopsis from Illumination:
Fresh off the worldwide blockbuster success of summer 2024’s funniest comedy, "Despicable Me 4", Illumination expands its joyful animated universe with a riotous new chapter, featuring all-new characters, in the biggest global animated franchise in history: "Minions & Monsters".
This is the rambunctious, ridiculous and totally true story of how the Minions conquered Hollywood, became movie stars, lost everything, unleashed monsters onto the world and then banded together to try and save the planet from the mayhem they had just created.
The acclaimed voice cast includes Allison Janney, Christoph Waltz, Jeff Bridges, Jesse Eisenberg, Zoey Deutch, Trey Parker, Bobby Moynihan, and Phil LaMarr.
Minions & Monsters arrives in theaters on July 1st.
LEGO book nooks are so cool. This one features the Balrog from the Mines of Moria facing off against Gandalf. Open, the Balrog can spread his wings. Closed, it fits onto a bookshelf. I'll be putting it between the books and movies of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. I may have to add a light kit for an even more dramatic effect.
The LEGO sets from The Mandalorianare so fun. I recently acquired the N-1 Starfighter set from a few years ago. It has four minifigs: Din Djarin, Grogu, Peli Motto, and a tiny BD Droid. It's a great addition to my ever-growing Star WarsLEGOcollection.
My latest DisneyLEGO set just arrived and I can't wait to put it together. The Main Street USA set has 16 minifigures and 3899 pieces. There's so much to look at!
I absolutely adore LEGO. It's so fun to sort out the pieces and build something amazing. I had been considering this Jaws set for awhile, so when I saw that it's being retired this summer, I knew it was time to go for it. I love how detailed the Orca is. Bruce the shark looks incredible and Hooper, Brody, and Quint are instantly recognizable. It's a fantastic addition to my collection.
The new SMART Play bricks from LEGO sound like a lot of fun. They light up, emit sounds, and contain motion sensors for things like lightsaber battles. I can't wait to try them out! Here's a fun animatedStar Warsshort showing how they work.
The next LEGODisneyPrincess special returns to Arendelle for an all new adventure. In LEGO Disney Frozen: Operation Puffins, Anna and Elsa, alongside Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven, must save their kingdom from Duke Weselton and his band of mischievous puffins.
Here's the official synopsis from LEGO:
After the events of Frozen, Anna and Elsa want to start fresh in Arendelle, and make the castle feel a bit more comfortable. While they struggle to break free of the bounds of tradition, the Duke of Weselton has other plans for their beloved home alongside a flock of menacing puffins.
LEGO Disney Frozen: Operation Puffins arrives on DisneyPlus on October 24.
These LEGOHalloween heads are such a fun way to store LEGOs. And they double as decor, so you leave them out all of spooky season. I found mine at Marshall's and TJ Maxx, so they were actually quite affordable.
The LEGOPrincesses are back to fight Gaston once again. In this sequel to LEGO Disney Princess: The Castle Quest, Gaston has gathered more Villains to help with his evil plot, so the Princesses call in some extra help too.
Here's the official synopsis from LEGO:
After Ariel, Moana, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Snow White thwarted Gaston’s plan to take over all of their kingdoms, he calls upon Ursula, Jafar, and the Evil Queen to help take the Princesses down once and for all. The Princesses learn about Gaston’s scheme and recruit a few friends of their own with the help of Magic Mirror: Aurora, Belle, and Cinderella! Together, the Princesses team up for an ultimate showdown of good versus evil.
LEGO Disney Princess: Villains Unite arrives on DisneyPlus on August 25th.

A new Lord of the RingsLEGO set is making it's debut next week. To celebrate, Sean Astin returned to Middle-earth to tell us all about this new set: The Shire.
Like all the Lord of the Rings set, The Shire is incredibly detailed (and incredibly expensive at $269.99), and includes 9 minifigures.

LEGO Marvel Avengers: Mission Demolition arrives on DisneyPlus on October 18th.
There's something hilarious about LEGOanimated movies and series. Whether it's a crazy retelling of familiar stories or they blow up the entire galaxy and have to start over, they always make me laugh. The latest mini series is LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy.
LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, a four-piece special event, arrives on DisneyPlus on September 13th.
I love what happens when LEGO takes on familiar, beloved stories. The results are generally hilarious and always entertaining. LEGO's latest series of animated shorts is LEGOPixar: Bricktoons.
“LEGO Pixar: BrickToons” catches up with Marlin and Dory from “Finding Nemo,” Jack-Jack and his super siblings Dash and Violet from “The Incredibles,” Lightning McQueen and Mater from “Cars,” Merida and her rambunctious baby brothers from “Brave,” and Miguel and Hector from “Coco” in an all-new series of LEGO-styled animated adventures for which no assembly is required.
All five episodes of LEGO Pixar: BrickToons will arrive on DisneyPlus on September 4th.
