Forevergreen

Forevergreen is the most unexpected and wonderful animated short film. It is such a lovely quiet moment with a beautiful story.

Here's the official synopsis from the creators:

An orphaned bear cub finds a home with a fatherly evergreen tree, until his hunger for trash leads him to danger.

This after hours passion project was created entirely by a crew of over 200 dedicated Artists and Technicians who all generously donated their free time and talent to bring every frame of the film to life.  Production took over 5 years to complete.  Featuring never before seen animation techniques and handmade artistry, weaving art and technology together with heart and humor.

"Forevergreen" was directed by Nathan Engelhardt and Jeremy Spears.

It's no wonder it has been nominated for an Oscar.

Best Christmas Ever

"The Spirit of Christmas" - An Almost Christmas Story

An Almost Christmas Story is a rather adorable short story about a little owl named Moon who gets lost at Christmas. John C. Reilly, the voice of Wreck-It Ralph, sings several songs in this unique animated short, including this one, "The Spirit of Christmas".

I love what happens when LEGO takes on familiar, beloved stories. The results are generally hilarious and always entertaining. LEGO's latest series of animated shorts is LEGO Pixar: Bricktoons.

Poor Donald! He does have the worst luck.

The Spider Within: A Spider-Verse Story

Sony and Marvel have partnered with the Kevin Love Fund for this short story fundraiser designed to raise awareness of the challenges of mental health. After all, even superheroes struggle with everything life throws at them.

Once Upon A Studio Is So Sweet

The Walt Disney Animation Studios released the cutest short last October. Once Upon A Studio featured 543 characters from over 85 films from Disney's 100 year history as they all came together for a very special photo. It first aired on ABC and has since arrived on DisneyPlus. And now, Disney has added it to YouTube so that everyone can enjoy this adorable short.

A new animated short is coming to ABC next month as part of the Disney100 celebration. With 543 characters from over 85 Disney films, Once Upon A Studio should be an absolute delight for Disney fans.

Featuring 543 Disney characters from more than 85 feature-length and short films, “Once Upon a Studio” welcomes heroes and villains, princes and princesses, sidekicks and sorcerers—in all-new hand-drawn and CG animation—to celebrate 10 decades of storytelling, artistry and technological achievements.

Once Upon A Studio makes its debut on ABC on October 15th.

I Am Groot Season 2

Fun loving Baby Groot is back for five more crazy adventures in Season 2 of I Am Groot. I loved the shorts from season 1 and season two looks even wilder.

Steamboat Willie

With Disney celebrating its 100 anniversary this year, it's seems appropriate to share the animated short that made the company famous. "Steamboat Willie" was the first animated movie to feature synchronized sound. It revolutionized the industry and paved the way for all of the animated movies to come. While it may seem a little strange by modern standards, it introduced three of Disney's classic characters: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Pete. While "Steamboat Willie" will only be 95 this year, it's definitely an important part of  Disney's history. So, without further ado, on with the show.

From Our Family To Yours - The Gift

For the past two years, Disney has released the most heartwarming holiday shorts celebrating their partnership with Make-A-Wish. The first "From Our Family To Yours" featured Lola and her granddaughter Nicole and their holiday celebrations. The second, "The Stepdad", featured a grown-up Nicole and her family. This year in "The Gift", Nicole's story continues as she and her family await the arrival of a new addition. 

Silly Symphony: The Skeleton Dance

Since it's October once again, it must be time for my favorite Silly Symphony short: "The Skeleton Dance." This macabre little animated story is truly bizarre, which is probably why I love it.
