LAIKA's Wildwood looks, and sounds, incredible. Here's a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film with some of the voice talent that brings the characters to life.

Here's the official synopsis from LAIKA:

Based on the novel by The Decemberists' Colin Meloy, Wildwood is a tale of love, loss, sacrifice, and secrets, and of the magic you can find on your doorstep, if you’re willing to look for it.

Beyond Portland’s city limits lies Wildwood. You’re not supposed to go there. You’re not even supposed to know it exists. But Prue McKeel is about to enter this enchanted wonderland. Her baby brother Mac has been taken by a murder of crows into the forest’s depths, and she – along with her hapless classmate Curtis – is going to get him back. The World Is Grey

Sony

The latest trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New DayBrand New Day gives a glimpse of Jean Grey's struggles in the movie. It seems Peter Parker is not the only one feeling alone.

Here's the official synopsis from Sony:

It's a "Brand New Day" for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves - a powerful villain no one can even see.

The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is available on digital now on various streaming platforms.

Sunrise On The Reaping Character Posters

All images: Lionsgate

Lionsgate has released a set of fourteen character posters for the latest film in the Hunger Games franchise: Sunrise On The Reaping. It's the story of Haymitch Abernathy's journey through the Hunger Games, which, to me, is the saddest tale in the series. First up, the characters associated with District 12. Joseph Zada stars as young Haymitch Abernathy, a tribute from District 12.

Whitney Peak as Lenore Dove, a Covey girl from District 12.

McKenna Grace as Maysilee Donner, a tribute from District 12.

Ben Wang as Wyatt Callow, a tribute from District 12.

Glenn Close as Drusilla Sickle, the tribute escort for District 12.

Billy Porter as Magno Stift, the uncaring stylist for District 12.

Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket, who hopes to become the escort for District 12.

Next up, the characters from the Capitol. First is Ralph Fiennes as President Coriolanus Snow.

Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman, the over-the-top television host of the Hunger Games.

Jesse Plemmons as Plutarch Heavensbee, the man who will eventually become pivotal in the downfall of the Capitol.

And finally, the Victors and an unexpected tribute. Lili Taylor as Mags Flanagan, a former Victor from District 4 who has become a mentor for District 12.

Maya Hawke as Wiress, a former Victor from District 3 who has become a mentor for District 12.

Kelvin Harrison Jr as Beetee Latier, a former Victor from District 3 who is desperate to save his son.

Percy Daggs IV as Ampert Latier, Beetee's son and a tribute from District 3.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping arrives in theaters on November 20th.

"The Headless Horseman" - Bing Crosby

Disney

Disney's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a Halloween favorite in my house. It's such a fun version of the story that's narrated by Bing Crosby. In October 1949, to celebrate the release of the film, Bing sang this version of "The Headless Horseman" on the Chesterfield Radio Program.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is available on DisneyPlus as part of The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.

The first full trailer for Disney's Hexed has arrived and it looks so fun. Billie Doe has no idea that she's a witch, but she's about to find out in the most spectacular fashion.

Here's the official synopsis from Disney:

Forced to team up with her cautious mother, Alice (voiced by Rashida Jones), they uncover family mysteries that could change the world of witches forever.

Walton Goggins voices Beef Roger Crummchuk, a reclusive, magical three-eyed cat who forges an uneasy alliance with Billie and Alice. Jodie Foster voices Queen Celeste, a sinister figure who will stop at nothing to maintain her power in perpetuity over Hexe.

Sunrise On The Reaping Final Trailer

All images: Lionsgate

The final trailer for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping has arrived and it is the most intense one yet. Haymitch's story is honestly the saddest one of the series, but it is also the beginning of the revolution.

Here's the official synopsis from Lionsgate:

"The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping" follows sixteen-year-old Haymitch Abernathy (Joseph Zada) from District 12, beginning on the morning of the reaping for the 50th Annual Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell, the biggest Games yet with twice as many tributes.

Set in the world of Panem 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games, the story follows Haymitch into the arena, where he forms an unlikely alliance with fellow tribute Maysilee Donner (Mckenna Grace) and joins a coalition determined to challenge the Capitol’s control under President Snow (Ralph Fiennes). As the competition unfolds, Haymitch risks everything to take down the Games from within the arena — setting in motion the rebellion that will change Panem forever.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping arrives in theaters on November 20th.
