The teaser posters for Star Wars: The Last Jedi are awesome! Featuring glimpses of the main characters dressed entirely in red, the posters are definitely unique. The first poster is of the late Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia.

Rey
Lucasfilm
Here's Daisy Ridley as Rey, the young woman who seeks Luke's help to learn the ways of the Force.

Finn

Former Stormtrooper Finn, John Boyega, was in a coma when last we saw him, so I'm curious to see what will happen when he wakes up.

Kylo Ren

The final poster is Adam Driver as Kylo Ren. Will Darth Vader's grandson follow in his footsteps, or is he lost to the Dark Side forever? Only time will tell. Star Wars: The Last Jedi arrives in theaters on December 15.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer and Poster

Lucasfilm
Disney and Lucasfilm released a new trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi last night during Monday Night Football's halftime show. The trailer gives us another glimpse into a galaxy far, far away.

It looks like Rey is struggling to find her place in the Force, and Luke is afraid of her power and his past. Kylo Ren is working to overcome the good in him to please his master. Finn and Poe Dameron are fighting to stop the First Order. And it looks like this film may be a dark one. I can't wait! On a much lighter note, check out the Porg's adorable alarm-like call. So cute!

Star Wars Land Update

Disney had some major announcements yesterday regarding Star Wars and it's presence at Hollywood Studios. It seems that there are many new experiences that will be opening in the coming months, starting December 1. The Star Wars Launch Bay will be a sneak peek behind the scenes of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. There will be special exhibits, merchandise, and the chance to meet Chewbacca and Darth Vader.

Star Tours will be adding a new adventure to its line-up. For the first few months, everyone will experience the new adventure. Afterward, it will be part of the random adventures we can see now. Disney shared a quick glimpse of this new adventure. I can't wait to see it in the park!

Another new experience is Star Wars: Path of the Jedi. Featuring scenes from all of the films, this will give new fans a chance to explore the galaxy many of us know and love. Finally, the Jedi Training experience for kids will receive a makeover and a new home. Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple will take younglings to the site of an ancient Jedi temple where they will face off against Darth Vader and the Seventh Sister. Bean is going to love it!

Unfortunately, with all these new experiences comes the loss of an old one. While construction is underway on the new 14-acre Star Wars Land, Star Wars Weekends have come to an end. While we'll now be able to experience a galaxy far, far away every day, I will miss this special event. I'm glad we had the chance to see it one last time this year. Which experience are you most looking forward to?

The Porgs Are Coming!

Courtesy of Disney/ Lucasfilm

It seems everywhere you look these days, someone is talking about the Porgs of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The cuddly, bird like creatures are quite darling, with tiny fuzzy wings and giant black eyes.

The creators of the Porgs were inspired by the puffins of Skellig Michael, the Irish island used in the final scene of The Force Awakens. Porgs are natives of Ahch-To, the island home of the first Jedi temple and Luke Skywalker. Porgs can fly, make nests, and have babies called "porglets". But don't let their adorable appearance fool you. The Porgs have razor sharp teeth and can bite when provoked.

They're very curious little critters, and seem to have an affinity for Chewbacca. There's a photo of Chewie and a Porg in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. There's even a children's book called "Chewie and the Porgs" due out on December 15.

Finally, you can expect the Porg madness to extend to toys this Christmas. A plush Porg which makes sounds has already been announced. The Chewbacca figure also includes a tiny Porg. It seems the Porgs are set to take over, but they're so cute, you can't really mind.

Star Wars Blips - Hey You & Keep Away

Lucasfilm
It's time for more Star Wars Blips. This time, the blips feature two new characters from the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi, along with BB-8.

In "Hey You", BB-8 runs into a somewhat familiar looking droid.

In "Keep Away", even BB-8 can't escape those adorable Porgs.

The Croods: A New Age Trailer and Poster Are Hilarious

DreamWorks

The Croods are coming back to theaters for another prehistoric adventure. They survived the end of their world in the first movie, now they're on the lookout for a new home. And it turns out, they're not alone.

Here's the official synopsis from DreamWorks:

The Croods have survived their fair share of dangers and disasters, from fanged prehistoric beasts to surviving the end of the world, but now they will face their biggest challenge of all: another family.

The Croods need a new place to live. So, the first prehistoric family sets off into the world in search of a safer place to call home. When they discover an idyllic walled-in paradise that meets all their needs, they think their problems are solved … except for one thing. Another family already lives there: the Bettermans.

The Bettermans (emphasis on the “better”)—with their elaborate tree house, amazing inventions and irrigated acres of fresh produce—are a couple of steps above the Croods on the evolutionary ladder. When they take the Croods in as the world’s first houseguests, it isn’t long before tensions escalate between the cave family and the modern family.

Just when all seems lost, a new threat will propel both families on an epic adventure outside the safety of the wall, one that will force them to embrace their differences, draw strength from each other and forge a future together.

The Croods: A New Age features the voice talent of returning stars Nicolas Cage as Grug Crood, Catherine Keener as Ugga Crood, Emma Stone as their daughter, Eep; Ryan Reynolds as Eep’s boyfriend, Guy; Clark Duke (Hot Tub Time Machine) as Thunk and Cloris Leachman as Gran. They’re joined by new stars Peter Dinklage (HBO’s Game of Thrones) as Phil Betterman, Leslie Mann (Blockers) as Hope Betterman, and Kelly Marie Tran (Star Wars: Episode VIII-The Last Jedi) as their daughter, Dawn.

The Croods: A New Age arrives in theaters on November 25, 2020.

Wal-Mart Exclusive Star Wars POPVinyl

I think I got a little carried away with these Star Wars POPVinyl. They are all Wal-Mart exclusives, and they were too cool to pass up. I love the Ewok set, which includes Teebo, Chief Cherpa, and Logray. They're so adorably detailed. I thought the new Movie Moments scenes were awesome, and chose the Cantina Faceoff with Han Solo and Greedo. Han even has his foot up on the table, which is too hilarious. Finally, I picked up Princess Leia, looking very regal, from the Last Jedi. I may be addicted to Funko POPVinyl figures, but they are so much fun, who could ressist?

Star Wars Rebels POPVinyl

Photos courtesy of Funko
If you're a fan of Star Wars Rebels on DisneyXD, this is the collectible for you. Funko has created an awesome set of POPVinyl featuring the entire crew of the Ghost. Ezra Bridger, a young Jedi in training, holds the lightsaber he made for himself.

Kanan Jarrus, his mentor, is one of the last remaining Jedi, so he also carries a lightsaber.

Hera Syndulla, Captain and pilot of the Ghost, is a Twi'lek rebel who leads with strength and grace.

Sabine Wren is a Mandalorian explosives expert, and also quite the artist.

Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios, once a member of the Lasat Honor Guard, acts as the muscle for the Ghosts crew.

Chopper is the loyal, yet ornery, droid who helps the crew keep the Ghost in working order. There are also two special exclusive figures.

Ahsoka Tano, a Togruta, Jedi and former Padawan of Anakin Skywalker, helped the Rebels in season 2. Her figure is only available at Hot Topic.

A Sabine wearing her Mandalorian helmet is only available at Walgreens. This set won't be available until November, but they're so cool that you'll want them all.
