Christmas In Disney Springs

Disney Springs has become a winter wonderland filled with sparkling lights and holiday decorations. DJs will be playing holiday music throughout the day. And stilt-walking Toy Soldiers and Skating Snowflakes may pop in for a delightful surprise. In the evenings, magical snow falls in the Town Center, West Side, and The Landing. 

The Christmas Tree Stroll returns this year, but with a twist. This year, the elaborate Disney themed Christmas trees will be spread out throughout the four Disney Springs neighborhoods. This time-lapse video shows cast members putting up the tree in the Town Center.

A holly, jolly scavenger hunt adds even more fun to the Christmas Tree Stroll. 

This scavenger hunt is complimentary and maps can be picked up from select retail stores, the Welcome Center, and PhotoPass Studio. In addition to a map of all the trees, special offers and discounts for retail and dining locations can be found on the back. When you've completed the scavenger hunt, make sure to bring your map to a redemption location for a special surprise. 

Later this month, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be part of a Winter Watercade on Lake Buena Vista. They'll be cruising along sharing holiday greetings from their festive pontoon boat. 

And finally, if holiday themed snacks are what you're after, look no further than Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar. The bar has once again been kitchily transformed into a zany Christmas fantasy. This year, the menu includes:

Christmas At EPCOT

Holiday magic has arrived throughout Disney World. There are decorations, treats, and character filled parades in the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. And now it's time for Christmas at EPCOT. The Christmas celebrations in EPCOT will begin on November 27 and continue until December 30.

Characters dressed up for Christmas will parade through the World Showcase. Watch for Anna and Elsa in the "Frozen Holiday Promenade," Mickey and pals on the "Mickey and Friends Holiday World Tour," and Santa Claus as he takes a horse-drawn tour sharing holiday wishes with everyone. 

JOYFUL! will perform R&B, Gospel, contemporary and traditional Christmas songs in the World ShowPlace. Also in World ShowPlace, explore the Gingerbread Capital City featuring tasty replicas of iconic US landmarks including the Capitol Building and a 5-foot tall Washington Monument. And the Voices of Liberty, my favorite performers at EPCOT, will be singing favorite carols and seasonal songs in delightful 8-part harmony on the American Gardens Theatre stage. 

For a sampling of holiday cheer from around the world, check out the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. There will be yuletide decorations, holiday music, family-friendly activities, and delicious food and beverages. There's something for everyone.

Coco Christmas Tree

The Christmas Tree Stroll in Disney Springs is a fun way to spend an hour or two. I love looking for all of the different trees. While they don't necessarily look like traditional Christmas trees, they are full of interesting things to discover. The Coco tree, which is returning this year, looks like a giant ofrenda covered with family photos and a garland of marigolds. Fruit and bread hide amongst the branches alongside the lyrics to "Remember Me."

A Haunted Mansion Christmas Tree?

Every year, there dozens of decorated Christmas trees appear in Disney Springs as part of the Christmas Tree Stroll. Each tree has a theme: a movie, a ride, or a Disney property. Last year, one of my favorite trees was the Haunted Mansion tree. It featured a full size bride and a wedding cake (with a headless groom of course) tucked into its branches. 

Once Upon A Toy Christmas Tree

The Christmas Tree Stroll in Disney Springs is always a holiday joy. There are so many delightful hidden things to discover in each tree. This tree for the Once Upon a Toy store is covered in old-fashioned decorations. From a spool and bead garland to peanut reindeer, baubles that look like they were made from old Christmas cards and handmade toys around the base, there so much to see.

Toy Story Christmas Tree

The Toy Story tree is one of my favorites of the Christmas Tree Stroll in Disney Springs. It features Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Rex, Little Green Man baubles, Rex, Pixar balls, Woody's sheriff badge, and more. And it's topped with a certain little Angel Kitty from the Christmas short Toy Story That Time Forgot.
