I put a spell on you
And now you're mine
You can't stop the things I do
I ain't lyin'

Hex-clusive PhotoPass Coming to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

It looks like Disney has really outdone themselves for this year's Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. From returning favorites, like the Boo-to-You Parade, Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, and HalloWishes Fireworks, to a ton of spooktacular new desserts, and finally some incredible new PhotoPass options. It looks like it will be a night to remember.

As seen above, fans of the Headless Horseman can finally get a perfect shot with the elusive spook. This photo can be taken at the entrance to the Magic Kingdom.

For a photo with a few ghostly residents from the Haunted Mansion, stop for a photo in the Town Square.

If hitchhiking ghosts are your favorite, just stop by the Haunted Mansion for this ghoulish photo.

For more Haunted Mansion fun, visit the attraction's entrance beginning around 8 PM. There, you'll have a chance to hold a lamp inspired by the cemetery watchman for you photo.

Finally, for a photo with a backdrop of skeletons from the 1929 Silly Symphony "The Skeleton Dance", stop near Ariel's Grotto after dark.

All of the photos from Disney PhotoPass are available for purchase, either individually or as part of a Memory Maker package. And if you're an Annual Passholder, they are included free as one of the perks.

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 As Told By Emoji

It's time for another "As Told By Emoji" short. The Guardians are back, and cuter than ever. I love the way it ends with Yondu's "I'm Mary Poppins, y'all". Too adorable.

Bring Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 Home Today

Courtesy of Marvel

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 arrives on Blu-ray and DVD today. It's funny, and action packed, and occasionally sad, and all about family; definitely one of my favorite Marvel movies. One of the most quoted scenes in my house involves Rocket, Baby Groot, and a certain button that can cause instant death. Too funny.

Guardians' Inferno Music Video

Marvel
The music video for "Guardians' Inferno", from Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, is so bad it's hysterical. The look is totally retro, and the majority of the main cast is a part of it, which is hilarious. And then there's David Hasselhoff, and of course, a cameo by Stan Lee. Too, too funny!

The "Guardian's Inferno" music video will be included in the extras on the Blu-ray, which arrives in stores next Tuesday, August 22.

Star Wars Blips

Lucasfilm
Have you seen the Star Wars Blips on YouTube? The animated shorts are kind of adorable.

In the first Blip, "Lightsaber", BB-8 is preparing for Star Wars Day with a little lightsaber practice.

In "One Up", R2-D2 and BB-8 get into a dance off.

"Out of Reach" finds R2 and BB-8 struggling to open a door, which comes easily to C-3PO.

And finally, in "The Chase", the Stormtroopers get a little more than they bargained for when the chase BB-8.

A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're fast asleep
In dreams you will loose your heartache
Whatever you wish for, you keep

Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling through
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true

The Porgs Are Coming!

Courtesy of Disney/ Lucasfilm

It seems everywhere you look these days, someone is talking about the Porgs of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The cuddly, bird like creatures are quite darling, with tiny fuzzy wings and giant black eyes.

The creators of the Porgs were inspired by the puffins of Skellig Michael, the Irish island used in the final scene of The Force Awakens. Porgs are natives of Ahch-To, the island home of the first Jedi temple and Luke Skywalker. Porgs can fly, make nests, and have babies called "porglets". But don't let their adorable appearance fool you. The Porgs have razor sharp teeth and can bite when provoked.

They're very curious little critters, and seem to have an affinity for Chewbacca. There's a photo of Chewie and a Porg in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. There's even a children's book called "Chewie and the Porgs" due out on December 15.

Finally, you can expect the Porg madness to extend to toys this Christmas. A plush Porg which makes sounds has already been announced. The Chewbacca figure also includes a tiny Porg. It seems the Porgs are set to take over, but they're so cute, you can't really mind.

Walt Disney Presents at Hollywood Studios

Courtesy of Disney

With all of the changes happening at Hollywood Studios, it's still a surprise when yet another is announced. It seems that One Man's Dream is going to be reimagined as Walt Disney Presents. The attraction, which currently showcases historic items from Disney history, will add previews for new attractions coming to the park in the next two years.

Starting in September, guests can view concept art, ride vehicle macquettes, and models of Toy Story Land. Part of the model for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will also be on display, as well as concept art for Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. Character Meet and Greets, such as Star-Lord and Baby Groot, will continue, as will the sneak previews for upcoming Disney films.

Walt Disney Presents at Hollywood Studios

All of these changes mean it's going to be a very different park once they are finished. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Coloring Book

While wandering through the bookstore the other day, I happened across something unexpected: a Buffy the Vampire Slayer Coloring Book. I still love all things Buffy, some 20 years later, so I had to check it out. The images inside are simple line drawings of characters and scenes with quotes from the show on the opposite page. The drawings are quite good and really capture the Scooby Gang's likenesses. The book is available at bookstores and from Amazon and retails for $14.99.

Ant-Man and the Wasp

Marvel
Marvel recently released a very brief teaser to let fan's know that filming has started in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

The film won't arrive in theaters until July 6, 2018, but there's a lot to look forward to. Several familiar faces will be returning from the first film, and a few newcomers have been added to the cast, including Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne and Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Bill Foster.

Here's the official description from Marvel:

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: Ant-Man and The Wasp. In the aftermath of "Captain America: Civil War," Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he's confronted by Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.

What's My Name - Descendants 2

Toy Story Land Update

Disney
Disney's Imagineers have been hard at work creating the new Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios for some time. Recently, they shared a photo of the final piece of track for the Slinky Dog Dash being lowered into place.

The ride is a family friendly coaster that Andy has built using his Mega Coaster Play Kit, with his usual creative flair. In Toy Story Land, guests shrink to toy size while they explore Andy's backyard.

There's still a lot of work to do before the attraction opens next summer, but so far, it looks pretty awesome. Are you looking forward to playing in Andy's world?

Compromise where you can. And where you can't, don't. Even if everyone is telling you that something wrong is something right, even if the whole world is telling you to move. It is your duty to plant yourself like a tree, look them in the eye and say, no. You move.

- Sharon Carter, Captain America: Civil War
